After the LA Lakers star sets a new NBA scoring mark, Liverpool FC and LeBron James unveil new collab.

LeBron James has had a big week: first, he broke the record for most points scored in an NBA game; and now, Liverpool has unveiled the full line of apparel they created in partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, who is also a longtime supporter and minor shareholder in the Premier League team.

LeBron has been teasing a few pieces of the line in recent weeks, like showing up to one game in a custom soccer shirt and participating in another while sporting some LFC-branded sneakers, but now the entire outfit is accessible. One basketball and one soccer-specific shirt, as well as a hoodie, shorts, long-sleeve workout tops, and a pair of unique footwear, are all part of the Liverpool FC x LeBron collection.

The LeBron football shirt is black and dark grey with red pinstripes and has a repeating print theme with the letters “YNWA” and “SFG.” It was modeled by Anfield mainstays Andy Robertson and Jordan Henderson. The first set of letters stands for the well-known club hymn of Liverpool (“You’ll Never Walk Alone”), while the second set stands for James’ personal motto (“Strive for greatness.”)

The basketball jersey worn by Liverpool forward Shanice van de Sanden features the same all-over lettering design. A stylized “YNWA” emblem over the midriff and James’ preferred No. 6 roster number are also included on the vest.

A similar set of paneled shorts with the same “YWNA-SFG” design, the Liverpool club logo, and LeBron’s recognizable No. 6 on the front complete the appearance.

James, who last week became the oldest player in NBA history to record a 20-point triple-double against the New York Knicks, decided to make his court debut wearing the new LFC Nike LeBron XX Low sneaker from the collection. Casino Banner

The Liver Bird design seen on the Liverpool team badge is stitched on the heels of the ultra-lightweight red shoes.

LeBron may also expand his collection of shoes with a pair of commemorative bespoke kicks that Nike sent him in honor of his record-breaking achievement.

The fact that the Reds’ announcement occurred the same week LeBron James broke Michael Jordan’s previous record for most points scored in NBA history with the Lakers on Tuesday is undoubtedly no coincidence.

James scored 38 points in a 133-130 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder to beat the famous Karim Abdul-all-time Jabbar’s high career point total of 38,387, breaking the record that had held for over four decades.

James concluded the game with a career total of 38,390 points, surpassing Abdul-total Jabbar’s with a jump jumper in the third quarter, cementing himself as the new NBA record holder.
